Utilising Design Thinking to Improve Multidisciplinary Tube Exit Planning for Children and Families Experiencing Temporary Tube Feeding
Project Scope:  A uni-project utilising design thinking for the Queensland Children's Hospital which aimed to:
1) Identify challenges families and healthcare providers experience during a child's temporary tube feeding journey, specifically in participating in tube exit planning.
2) Identify the desired situation regarding a child's temporary tube feeding journey and how tube exit planning (or other strategies) may contribute.
3) Identify solutions for improving tube exit planning (or general tube feeding care) that meet the needs of both families and healthcare providers.
The project required development of a project plan and ethics application and eventually the development of a design brief for a decision-support tool for families of children requiring temporary tube feeding.  The project resulted in the production of a prototype of the decision-suppport tool.
